Using SSL with Cloudbric

Cloudbric offers three different SSL modes for all websites: Basic, Full and Custom. Once DNS information is changed Cloudbric will automatically issue an SSL, provided by Let’s Encrypt.

1. Basic SSL (SSL Termination)

"I didn't have an SSL certificate previously but now I want to use one.“

Please make sure your site is SSL ready. This means your must make sure all your links are loaded over https. See # 2 at here for more details.

This option encrypts communication between a user and Cloudbric, but not between Cloudbric and your web server.

2. Full SSL (SSL Non-Termination)

"I have an SSL, and I want to get one from Cloudbric.“

All you need to do is click a box that says, “Yes, I have my own SSL certificate.” during registration. Cloudbric will automatically issue an SSL, provided by Let’s Encrypt, for your website once you change the DNS information.

This option encrypts communication between a user and Cloudbric using Let's Encrypt SSL, and uses your own SSL between Cloudbric and your web server.

3. Custom SSL

"I have an SSL and I want to use mine.“

If you wish to use a custom SSL between a user and Cloudbric, please submit a ticket here and attach both the certificate and key file.  See here on how to upload custom SSL certificates.
